In Vivo

Propyphenazone (4-Isopropylantipyrine; 0.7, 7, 70 mg/kg; oral gavage; the entire second week of gestation, days 8-14 of gestation), administered Propyphenazone:Caffeine and Propyphenazone:Paracetamol mixtures with constant 3:1 and 3:5 ratios, causes intrauterine growth retardation but does not increase external or internal congenital anomalies in pregnant Wistar rats[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
