Description

Andropanolide is a natural product that exerts cytotoxicity toward carcinoma cells and significantly inhibits the overproduction of nitric oxide (NO) in Lipopolysaccharides (HY-D1056) (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages[1].

In Vitro

Andropanolide exerts cytotoxicity toward LNCaP, HepG2, KB, MCF7, and SK-Mel2 carcinoma cells, with IC50 values ranging from 31.8 to 45.9 µM[1].
Andropanolide significantly inhibits the overproduction of nitric oxide (NO) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages, with an IC50 value of 13.4 µM[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
