Neuromedin U-25 human is the active form of neuromedin U in human. Neuromedin U-25 human inhibits glucose-stimulated insulin secretion, which leads to early-onset obesity. Neuromedin U-25 serves as vasoconstrictor in human vascular beds[1][2].

In Vitro

Neuromedin U-25 human (4 pM-2 nM) binds to receptors in human left ventricle and coronary artery with KDs of 0.26 and 0.11 nM, respectively[1].
Neuromedin U-25 human (0.1 nM-0.1 μM) constricts coronary artery, mammary artery and saphenous vein endothelium-independently, with potency pD2s of 8.6, 8.0 and 8.2, respectively[1].
