Cholecystokinin (CCK)

Definition:

Cholecystokinin (CCK) is a gallbladder contraction factor. Cholecystokinin is member of a peptide family, which are all ligands for the CCK1 and CCK2 receptors. Cholecystokinin is responsible for stimulating the digestion of fat and protein.
