Wnt3a Protein, Human (HEK293)

Wnt3a Protein, Human (HEK293) is 100-120 kDa wnt3a protein expressed in HEK 293 system. Wnt3a specifically promotes Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by stabilization of intracellular beta-catenin levels^[1].

Wnt-3a belongs to the Wnt family of proteins that consist of structurally related genes encoding highly conserved cysteine-rich secreted glycoproteins. Wnts are ligands for seven-pass transmembrane receptors of the frizzled family. Wnts bind Frizzled receptors and forms complex with lLRP5 or LRP6, which results in the stabilization of intracellular beta-catenin levels.
Wnt-3a is a 44 kDa secreted hydrophobic glycoprotein containing a conserved pattern of 24 cysteine residues.
Human Wnt-3a shares 96% amino acid (aa) identity with mouse, and bovineWnt-3a.
Wnt-3a, a novel Wnt protein, specifically promotes Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway^[1][2].
