Shikonin is a specific pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) inhibitor and can also inhibit TNF-α and NF-κB pathway . Shikonin decreases exosome secretion through the inhibition of glycolysis [4]. Shikonin inhibits AIM2 inflammasome activation .
