    Human HEK293
Sortilin/SORT1 Protein serves as a sorting receptor in the Golgi and a clearance receptor on the cell surface. It plays a crucial role in protein transport to lysosomes, independent of M6PR. Lysosomal proteins bind to the Golgi receptor, forming a complex transported to an acidic prelysosomal compartment. The low pH mediates dissociation, and the receptor recycles via retromer. Sortilin is involved in Golgi-to-endosome protein transport, facilitates neuronal apoptosis, acts as a neurotensin receptor, and aids insulin responsiveness in adipocytes. It interacts with partners like LRPAP1/RAP, GM2A, NTS, and NGFR, as well as adapter proteins GGA1 and GGA2, and proteins CLN5, PSAP, GRN, and SMPD1, contributing to diverse cellular functions. Sortilin/SORT1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Sortilin/SORT1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of Sortilin/SORT1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is 678 a.a., with molecular weight of 90-110 kDa.
