Ximelagatran-d11 (H 376/95-d11) is the deuterium labeled Ximelagatran. Ximelagatran (H 376/95) is an orally active thrombin inhibitor that selectively and competitively inhibits both free and clot-bound thrombin. Ximelagatran is an anticoagulant agent with a rapid onset of anticoagulant effect, predictable, dose-dependent pharmcokinetics and pharmacodynamics[1][2].

In Vitro

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
