Protein eyes shut homolog

Definition:

Required to maintain the integrity of photoreceptor cells. Specifically required for normal morphology of the photoreceptor ciliary pocket, and might thus facilitate protein trafficking between the photoreceptor inner and outer segments via the transition zone (By similarity).
