Baclofen-d₅ hydrochloride 

Baclofen-d₅ hydrochloride is deuterated labeled Baclofen (HY-B0007). Baclofen, a lipophilic derivative of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), is an orally active, selective metabotropic GABA_B receptor (GABA_BR) agonist. Baclofen mimics the action of GABA and produces slow presynaptic inhibition through the GABA_B receptor. Baclofen has high blood brain barrier penetrance. Baclofen has the potential for muscle spasticity research^[1][2][3].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
Baclofen (1, 10 μM; 24 h) causes markedly decreased lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity, indicating increased cell viability in wild-type or mutant huntingtin-expressing striatal cells (HD19 or HD43). Baclofen significantly increases chymotrypsin-like proteasome activity and cell viability were in the HD43 cells^[4].
