Platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA)

Definition:

Platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA) is a transmembrane protein with five immunoglobulin-like repeats in the extracellular domain and with a split intracellular tyrosine kinase domain. PDGFRA belongs to class III family of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs).
