Cat. No.: HY-P77412
COA Handling Instructions

IL-1RAcP is a co-receptor for IL1RL2, IL1R1 and IL1RL1 in the IL-36, IL-1 and IL-33 signaling system, respectively. IL-1RAcP is an essential component of the IL-1 receptor and plays an essential role in the inflammatory process. IL-1RAcP/IL-1 R3 Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is a recombinant cynomolgus IL-1RAcP protein with a His tag at the C-terminus and is expressed in HEK293 cells. It consists of 359 amino acids (M1-E359).

Description

IL-1RAcP is a co-receptor for IL1RL2, IL1R1 and IL1RL1 in the IL-36, IL-1 and IL-33 signaling system, respectively. IL-1RAcP is an essential component of the IL-1 receptor and plays an essential role in the inflammatory process[1][2].

Background

Interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP), also known as IL-1 R3, belongs to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. IL-1RAcP can be detected in liver, skin, placenta, thymus and lung.
The cynomolgus IL-1RAcP protein shares 99.30% a.a sequence identity with human, 88.60% identity with rat and 88.42% identity with mouse.
IL-1RAcP contains three Ig-like domains and a cytoplasmic domain named Toll/IL-1 receptor (TIR) (position: 403-546 a.a), which has been implicated in signal transduction. IL-1RAcP also contains a single transmembrane region. IL-1RAcP is a co-receptor for IL1RL2, IL1R1 and IL1RL1 in the IL-36, IL-1 and IL-33 signaling system, respectively. IL-1RAcP is an indispensible molecule in the IL-1 receptor signal transduction complex, links events at the plasma membrane level to downstream signaling pathways, mediates interleukin-1-dependent transcription factor activation and gene expression.
IL-1RAcP plays an essential role in the inflammatory process and can be used for the research of obesity, diabetics, endometriosis, atherosclerosis, and so on[1][2][3].

Biological Activity

Measured by its ability to inhibit IL-1 alpha -induced IL-8 secretion in HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The ED50 for this effect is 1.163 µg/mL in the presence of 1 μg/mL of recombinant human IL-1 R2 and 50 pg/mL rhIL-1 alpha, corresponding to a specific activity is 619.963 U/mg.

Approximately 55-70 kDa due to the glycosylation

Purity

Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Appearance

Lyophilized powder.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
