Definition:

Adenine nucleotide translocator (ANT) is a family of proteins involved in cell death pathways. ANT exchanges ATP with ADP  between the intermembrane space to the matrix, and trigger the process of mitochondrial membrane permeabilization, which leads irreversibly to cell death.
