Viral Proteins

A complete infectious virus particle, called a virion, consists of the nucleic acid (DNA or RNA) and an outer shell of protein. Viral proteins of the mature assembled virus particle, refer to viral structural protein, may include nucleocapsid core proteins (gag proteins), enzymes packaged within the virus particle (pol proteins), and membrane components (env proteins). In addition, the viral proteins also include nonstructural proteins, regulatory proteins and accessory proteins. Some of these proteins may play roles within the infected cell during virus replication or act in regulation of virus replication or virus assembly. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the etiology of COVID-19, is an enveloped, positive-sense single-stranded RNA β coronavirus of the family Coronaviridae. SARS-CoV-2 has 4 main structural proteins (S, E, M, and N) and 16 non-structural proteins (nsp1-16). MCE offers recombinant proteins derived from important viruses for virus research, including influenza virus,SARS-CoV-2 ,human immunodeficiency virus (HIV),cytomegalovirus (CMV),etc..
