Nucleoprotein/NP Protein is a crucial player in the assembly of viral particles, orchestrating the packaging of the positive-strand viral genome RNA into a helical ribonucleocapsid (RNP). Its intricate interactions with the viral genome and the membrane protein M are fundamental to the virion assembly process.
