CD319/SLAMF7

CD319, also known as SLAMF7, CS1 or CRACC, is a member of the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family with an extracellular IgV-like domain that mediates homophilic interaction. The receptor is expressed on natural killer cells, activated B cells, plasma cells and subsets of T cells and myeloid cells. In NK cells its cytoplasmic tail recruits the EAT-2 adapter to support cytotoxic responsiveness, while in plasma cells it functions as a surface anchor rather than a signaling molecule. SLAMF7 is displayed at high density on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma, and the antibody elotuzumab directed against it was approved for myeloma therapy.
