PMSF (100×) 

PMSF (Phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride) is a non-specific and irreversible inhibitor of serine proteases. It can inhibit a variety of serine proteases and also exhibits inhibitory effects on certain thiol proteases, non-specific esterases, and acetylcholinesterase. PMSF is commonly used to inhibit protease activity during tissue or cell lysis, thereby protecting protein integrity. It is widely used in protein extraction and sample preparation procedures. The recommended final concentration of PMSF in lysis buffers is typically 0.5–1 mM.

MCE PMSF (100×) is a ready-to-use protease inhibitor solution. It can be added directly to lysis buffers at a 1:100 dilution before use.

Allow the product to thaw at room temperature before use. Add PMSF to the lysis buffer at a 1:100 (v/v) dilution, mix well, and then proceed with sample lysis.

Note: PMSF is unstable in aqueous solutions and should be added to the lysis buffer immediately before use.
