Basal Cell Culture Media

Cat. No.: HY-K3001 DMEM (High Glucose, L-Glutamine, Pyruvate, Phenol Red, no HEPES)

DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cell lines successfully cultured in DMEM include Hela, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12, as well as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells. The 500 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

Cat. No.: HY-K3002 DMEM/F-12 (1:1), L-Glutamine, Phenol Red, HEPES

DMEM/F-12 (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium/Nutrient Mixture F-12) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cell successfully cultured in DMEM/F-12 include MDCK, glial cells, fibroblasts, human endothelial cells, etc. The 500 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

Cat. No.: HY-K3003 DMEM (Low Glucose, L-Glutamine, Pyruvate, Phenol Red, no HEPES)

DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cell lines successfully cultured in DMEM include Hela, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12, as well as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells, etc. The 500 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

Cat. No.: HY-K3004 RPMI 1640 (L-Glutamine, Phenol Red, no HEPES)

RPMI 1640 contains glutathione and high concentration of vitamins, also contains biotin, vitamin B12, 4-Aminobenzoic acid (PABA) not found in MEM and DMEM, as well as high concentration of inositol and choline chloride. The 500 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

Cat. No.: HY-K3027 Minimum Essential Medium (MEM)

Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), also known as Minimal Essential Medium, was developed by Harry Eagle based on Eagle’s Basal Medium (BME). It is a basic cell culture medium with a simple formulation and broad applicability, and is one of the most commonly used media in animal cell culture. MEM contains only 12 essential amino acids, L-glutamine, and 8 vitamins. It is primarily used for the culture of adherent cells. With appropriate formulation modifications, it can also be used for other types of cell culture.

Cat. No.: HY-K3028 MEM Reduced Serum Medium for Transfection (Phenol Red)

MCE MEM Reduced Serum Medium for Transfection (Phenol Red) is a chemically defined essential medium developed based on classical MEM formulation. Enables at least a 50% reduction in fetal bovine serum (FBS) usage while maintaining normal cell growth rates and cellular morphology, and is suitable for the culture of a wide variety of suspension and adherent mammalian cells.

Cat. No.: HY-K3029 Advanced DMEM/F-12, no L-Glutamine, no HEPES

MCE Advanced DMEM/F-12 is an optimized mammalian cell culture medium designed to reduce the requirement for fetal bovine serum (FBS). Compared with classical DMEM/F-12 medium, it can reduce serum usage by 50–90% while maintaining comparable cell growth rates and cellular morphology, thereby effectively lowering serum consumption and reducing overall cell culture costs.

Cat. No.: HY-K3030 Ham's F-12K (Kaighn's)

Ham’s F-12K Medium was originally designed for the culture of primary human hepatocytes and differentiated rat and chicken cells. It is particularly suitable for single-cell cloning of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells under serum-free conditions. When supplemented with serum, it can also be used for the culture of various other mammalian cell types, including chondrocytes and rat prostate epithelial cells.

Cat. No.: HY-K3036 IMDM (Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium)

MCE IMDM (Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium) is an enriched formulation modified from DMEM, containing high concentrations of glucose, sodium pyruvate, amino acids, vitamins, HEPES buffer, selenium, and other essential nutrients. It is designed to meet the nutritional requirements for rapid cell proliferation and high-density culture, supporting a variety of cell types, including Jurkat cells, COS-7 cells, and macrophages. The product specifications are based on the 500 mL format, and larger volume packages are provided as multiples of this standard specification.

Cat. No.: HY-K3037 McCoy’s 5A (Modified) Medium

MCE McCoy's 5A Modified Medium is a nutrient-rich medium designed for culturing a wide range of cell types, particularly suitable for supporting the growth of primary cells. It is widely used for the culture of various mammalian cells, including normal and tumor-derived cells, epithelial cells, fibroblasts, bone marrow cells, and other cell types. The product specifications are based on the 500 mL format, and larger volume packages are provided as multiples of this standard specification.
