Description & Advantages
The 1 kb DNA Marker is provided in a solution of 1× DNA Loading Buffer, which can be directly used for nucleic acid electrophoresis analysis. The Marker contains 13 double-stranded DNA fragments ranging from 250 bp to 12000 bp. 5 μL of this product contains about 80 ng for the 1500 bp and 4000 bp bands, and about 30 ng for the other bands.
Protocol
General Protocol
1. This product is supplied in 1× DNA Loading Buffer and can be loaded directly for agarose gel electrophoresis without adding loading buffer.
2. Completely thaw 1 kb DNA Marker, mix gently, and briefly centrifuge to collect the solution at the bottom of the tube.
3. Load 5 μL Marker per lane as a recommended starting amount. Select an appropriate agarose concentration according to the DNA fragment size of interest and perform electrophoresis under standard conditions.
4. The Marker contains 13 double-stranded DNA fragments ranging from 250 bp-12000 bp. In each 5 μL, the 1500 bp and 4000 bp contain approximately 80 ng DNA, while the other bands contain approximately 30 ng DNA, providing prominent reference bands for size estimation.
5. After electrophoresis, image the gel according to the nucleic acid stain used and compare the migration of the sample bands with the Marker.
Note: Store at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Aliquoting is recommended for frequent use.
