MCE Kinase Assay Buffer can be used for assaying kinase protein. This assay buffer is primarily used for Biochemicals applications.

This assay buffer is supplied as a ready-to-use solution in ddH2O. The individual components have specific inhibitory properties. MOPS are commonly used in biology as buffers that maintain the pH of mammalian cell culture media. β-glycerophosphate disodium salt pentahydrate inhibits phosphatase. EGTA is a special calcium chelator. DL-dithiothreitol (DTT) is a strong reducing agent.

Protect from light.

Protocol

Thaw at room temperature, add at 1:5 (v/v) dilutions to 1 solution samples and mix thoroughly. It is recommended to prepare solutions of this product fresh when needed.

  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

    Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
