Description
& Advantages

MCE Magnetic Stand Plus features an upgraded design that is compatible with multiple centrifuge tube formats, including 200 μL, 1.5 mL, 2 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, and 15 mL tubes. It adopts a detachable strong magnetic block design, allowing flexible operation for samples of different volumes and improving both convenience and separation efficiency during experiments.

This product is a dedicated accessory for magnetic bead-based applications and is compatible with the full range of MCE magnetic bead products. The magnetic rack contains a high-strength magnetic core, enabling rapid and efficient magnetic bead separation. It is widely used in applications such as antibody purification, immunoprecipitation (IP), co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP), cell sorting, and nucleic acid isolation.

Protocol

1. Place the EP tube or centrifuge tube containing the magnetic bead suspension into the corresponding sample slot of the magnetic rack. Allow it to stand for several minutes until the magnetic beads are attracted to and aggregated along the tube wall under the magnetic field, and the solution becomes clear.

2. Carefully remove the supernatant using a pipette or aspirator.

3. Remove the EP tube or centrifuge tube from the magnetic rack, add the required solution, and gently vortex or pipette to fully resuspend the magnetic beads before proceeding to the next experimental step.

Note: a. The time required for magnetic separation is closely related to the particle size of the magnetic beads. In general, smaller bead sizes require a longer separation time.

b. The viscosity and composition of the solution (such as protein concentration and salt concentration) may also affect the efficiency and duration of magnetic separation. The separation time should be adjusted accordingly based on the experimental conditions.

Attention

1. In order to reduce the loss of magnetic beads, please put the bottom of sample tube (centrifuge tube or EP tube) at the bottom of the magnetic stand. This promotes bead adsorption on the side wall of container, therefore after the beads are gathered into a point or a line, slowly and carefully pour out the liquid or gently remove the supernatant with a pipette.

2. As the magnetic stand has a powerful magnetic field, please to be sure to avoid contact with cell phones, computers, watches, pacemakers, magnets and other objects susceptible to magnetic interference, cautions for knives in particularly in case of people injuries.

3. Do not allow the magnetic stand base to come into direct contact with strong acid, alkali or other substances which may cause corrosion.

4. Please do not open the powerful magnets inside.

5. In order to avoid the damage to the magnetic stand, do not expose to heat or a strong external magnetic field environment.

6. Please clean the magnetic stand and keep it dry and store properly.

7. This product is for R&D use only, not for drug, household, or other uses. Please consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for information regarding hazards and safe handling practices.

8. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves to operate.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
