DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cell lines successfully cultured in DMEM include Hela, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12, as well as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells, etc. The 500 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cell lines successfully cultured in DMEM include Hela, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12, as well as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells, etc. DMEM contains 4 times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins than the original MEM.

MCE offers a range of different formulations of DMEM medium for different cell culture applications.
Storage

Store at 2-8℃ for 1 year.

  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

    Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
