Description & Advantages
MCE ITS Supplement (100×) is formulated with insulin, transferrin, sodium selenite, linoleic acid, and other components. It can be used as a cell culture supplement to be added to the culture medium, promoting cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation in vitro. It also reduces the need for traditional serum maintenance and low-density adherent cell supplementation, making it suitable for serum-free or low-serum cell culture systems.
Protocol
1. Take the appropriate amount of ITS Supplement (100×) in a sterile environment and add it to the cell culture medium at a 100-fold dilution according to the experimental requirements. For example: add 1 mL of supplement to 99 mL of medium to prepare 100 mL of cell culture medium.
2. When using this product for the first time, it is recommended to initially add 2% - 4% fetal bovine serum (FBS, MCE Cat. No.: HY-T1000) to the medium to achieve the same cell growth effect as with 10% FBS. After cells have adapted, the FBS concentration can be gradually reduced.
