Network Pharmacology / Network Toxicology Analysis
Network Pharmacology is an interdisciplinary discipline grounded in systems biology and the theory of biological network homeostasis. It interprets the pathological progression of diseases from a holistic perspective and investigates the interaction patterns between drugs and organisms, thereby guiding new drug research and development.By constructing biological networks including drug ingredient–disease target–signaling pathway networks and protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks, this discipline systematically establishes correlations between drugs and diseases with a focus on the synergistic regulation of multiple signaling pathways. It enables preliminary elucidation of the molecular mechanisms underlying drug pharmacological effects, which in turn helps improve the success rate of new drug clinical trials and effectively cut down drug R&D costs.
Network pharmacology serves as an extremely efficient research tool for investigating the interactions between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compounds, natural products and the pathogenesis of complex diseases. Integrating multidisciplinary theories, this approach dissects the intrinsic correlations among drugs, diseases and targets from multi-dimensional perspectives, providing critical support for elucidating the action mechanisms of TCM compounds. At present, combining network pharmacology with molecular docking technology to screen active ingredients and reveal their underlying mechanisms of TCM and natural products has become a mainstream research strategy for the development of new TCM drugs.

Service Contents
Leveraging multiple databases, the MCE Network Pharmacology Platform integrates a variety of analytical technologies including molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, machine learning and virtual knockout. It can systematically dissect the synergistic regulatory mechanisms of "multi-component–multi-target–multi-pathway" in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulas and natural products. The platform provides standardized computational research protocols for discovering pharmacodynamic substances of TCM formulas and elucidating the functional pathways of natural products. It drastically cuts the cost of wet-lab experiments, forms a complete research loop covering active molecules, core disease targets and full mechanisms, and efficiently facilitates the identification of active ingredients and mechanistic research of TCM and natural products.
