GPR65

G Protein-Coupled Receptor 65

GPR65 is a cell-surface receptor and belongs to the family of proton-activated G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). As a pH sensor, GPR65 is expressed in metabolically important organs such as the liver and in immune cells. Tissue injury and inflammation are usually accompanied by local acidification and changes in pH values, which can be sensed by various activated GPCRs, including GPR65. GPR65 is involved in the regulation of immune responses, affecting the proliferation, differentiation of immune cells, and the secretion of cytokines. GPR65 plays a role in inflammatory responses and the maintenance of immune homeostasis. GPR65 also contributes to maintaining the integrity of the mucosal membrane and the balance of the gut microbiota. GPR65 is closely related to the development of various diseases such as hepatic fibrosis, inflammatory diseases, tumors, and neurological diseases, and is a potential therapeutic target[1].
