Cytokines

Definition:

Cytokines are small molecular proteins produced by immune cells and some non-immune cells through the induction of immunogen, mitogen or other stimulants. They have many functions, such as regulating innate and adaptive immunity, blood cell generation, cell growth, APSC pluripotent cells and repair of damaged tissues. Cytokines can be divided into interleukin, interferon, tumor necrosis factor superfamilytumor necrosis factor superfamily, colony-stimulating factors, chemokines, growth factors and so on.
