Host defense peptide that exhibits antibacterial and antifungal activity. Exhibits antimicrobial activity against E.coli, S.aureus and C.albicans (in vitro). Has high lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-binding affinity, and may thereby be involved in immunoregulation through LPS neutralization.
