Donovanosis

Definition:

Donovanosis (granuloma inguinale) is an acquired chronic, slowly progressive, mildly contagious disease caused by Klebsiella granulomatis that was called Calymmatobacterium granulomatis. This sexually transmitted disease is characterized by granulomatous ulceration of the genitalia and neighboring sites, with little or no tendency to spontaneous healing.
