Familial encephalopathy with neuroserpin inclusion bodies (FEBIB) is an autosomal dominant dementia that is characterized by the accumulation of mutant neuroserpin as periodic acid Schiff (PAS) positive diastase-resistant inclusions. Kindreds with FENIB present with presenile dementia and cognitive deficits.
