Farnesyltransferase (FTase) is a two-subunits heterodimeric zinc enzyme that is comprised by a 48 kDa a-subunit and a 46 kDa ß-subuni. Farnesyltransferase (FTase) is a major molecular target for the development of novel anticancer drugs that are designed to disrupt the aberrant signal transduction circuitry of tumor cells.
