Flavin adenine dinuleotide (FAD)

Definition:

Flavin adenine dinuleotide (FAD) is a redox cofactor of 5,10-methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase, which is a key enzyme of the folate activation pathway. FAD consists of a riboflavin moiety (vitamin B2) and a phosphate group of an ADP molecule.
