Dioctophyma renale is a parasite of the Dioctophymidae family that principally occurs in dogs or other carnivores. Humans are accidental definitive hosts. Ingested Dioctophyma larvae migrate into the right kidney where they mature. Clinical presentation of D. renale infection is unspecific.
