Gordonia bronchialis infection

Definition:

Gordonia species are aerobic actinomycetes recently recognized as causing human disease in immunocompromised and immunocompetent patients. Gordonia bronchialis has been isolated from cases of bacteremia, pleural infection, intraventricular shunt, sternal wound, and breast abscess.
