Granzyme B
Definition:
Granzyme B is a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte/natural-killer-cell granule serine protease in family S1 that preferentially cleaves Asp bonds far more than Asn, then Met and Ser. By cleaving caspases and Bid it triggers target-cell apoptosis. It appears in viruses and cellular organisms.
