Langerhanscellhistiocytosis (LCH)

Definition:

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is an inflammatory neoplasia of myeloid precursor cells driven by mutations in the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. LCH is a rare systemic disorder characterized by the accumulation of CD1a+/Langerin+ LCH cells and wide-ranging organ involvement.
