mTOR complex 2 (mTORC 2)

Definition:

mTOR complex 2 (mTORC 2) is not directly inhibited by Rapamycin. mTORC 2 can enhance mTORC1 activation by repression of the class II PI3KC2-β. mTORC 2 also promotes mTORC1 signaling by Akt-mediated phosphorylation of TSC2.
