Myocyte enhancer factor (MEF)-2

Definition:

Myocyte enhancer factor (MEF)-2 is a transcription factor that promotes myocyte differentiation and hypertrophic gene expression. MEF-2 is a target of the calcineurin/NFAT pathway that induces expression of hypertrophic genes.
