Definition:

Neuroinflammation is a common feature of many Neurodegenerative diseases. Neuroinflammation fosters a dysfunctional neuron-microglia-astrocyte crosstalk and maintains microglial cells in a perniciously reactive state that often enhances neuronal damage.
