Open Field Test

Definition:

The open field test is an experiment used to test the learning and memory ability of mice. It can detect the level of spontaneous activity and anxiety in the animals. It is the most widely used in neuropsychiatric diseases and neuropsychopharmacology. In the experiment, mice were placed in the center of an open cube test box with a side length of 50 cm and a height of 30 cm, and their moving distance, speed, percentage of moving distance in the central area, stay time in the central area, and moving distance of large and small movements were recorded.
