Definition:

Poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase-1 (PARP1) is a DNA repair enzyme highly expressed in the nuclei of mammalian cells. PARP inhibitor has efficacy at sub-cytotoxic concentrations in radiosensitizing multiple human cancer cell lines to ionizing radiation.
