IL-16 Protein, Human (1-130a.a)

IL-16 Protein is a pro-inflammatory pleiotropic cytokine that induces regulatory CD4⁺ T cells to migrate to a site of inflammation or tissue damage^[1][2]. IL-16 Protein is a pleiotropic cytokine that functions as a chemoattractant, a modulator of T cell activation, and an inhibitor of HIV replication^[3]. IL-16 Protein is released by a variety of cells (including lymphocytes and some epithelial cells) that has been characterized as a chemoattractant for certain immune cells expressing the cell surface molecule CD4. IL-16 Protein also induces T-lymphocyte expression of interleukin 2 receptor^[4].
