Angiopoietin-like protein three (ANGPTL3)

Definition:

Angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3), a 70 kDa glycoprotein principally expressed and secreted by hepatocytes, is a member of the angiopoietin-like protein family exclusively synthesized in the liver. ANGPTL3 is responsible for hypolipidemia and could regulate lipid metabolism in vivo.
