Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

Definition

Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) acounts for approximately 85% of all new lung cancer diagnoses. NSCLC are divided into squamous cell carcinomas, adenocarcinomas, and large-cell carcinomas. NSCLC has the occurrence of histological transformation to small cell lung cancer (SCLC), which is accompanied by resistance to the original tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs).
