Solid Phase Assay

Definition

Solid Phase Assay is used to study interactions when at least one molecule is fixed to a solid surface (such as the walls of microplates or test tubes) while the other reactants freely diffuse in solution. This method is widely used in enzyme-substrate binding, antigen-antibody interactions, and drug screening.
