Copper(II) Gluconate is a non-toxic copper supplement aid. Copper(II) Gluconate is the copper salt of D-gluconic acid. Copper(II) Gluconate as a precursor catalyst that can be used in the photo-induced polymerisation of acrylates[1].

In Vitro

Copper(II) Gluconate can be used as a catalyst precursor that exchanges ligands with Me6-Tren ligands, forms an active copper catalyst, and achieves the controlled polymerization of acrylate monomers. The ligand exchange process can be accelerated by ultraviolet irradiation or elevated temperature[1].
