Cyanox CY 1790 (Irganox 1790) is a synthetic phenolic antioxidant. Cyanox CY 1790 is mainly used to protect polyolefin materials such as polypropylene and polyethylene from thermo-oxidative degradation during processing (high temperature) and service[1][2].

体外実験

Cyanox 1790 exhibits excellent long-term stability: among the 8 tested antioxidants, Cyanox 1790 and Irganox 1330 show the longest antioxidant depletion time. At the same initial molar concentration of phenolic groups, its depletion time is nearly twice that of most other antioxidants[1].
Cyanox CY 1790 can be accurately quantified in polypropylene deodorization industrial wastewater via the SPE-HPLC method, with a recovery rate of 93.3%[2].
