Abstract

This Patent Highlight explores the development of cell-permeable drugs, moving beyond traditional low molecular weight, nonpolar, and rigid compounds. It introduces a novel compound combining two types of Abelson murine leukemia (ABL) enzyme inhibitors. This compound offers potential therapeutic applications, including Cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and ABL-associated disease treatment. Moreover, it can reduce ABL activity levels in cells. These advancements illustrate the potential of "beyond the rule of five" compounds in drug discovery and clinical applications, expanding the chemical space for future research and development.
