HA/Hemagglutinin Protein, Influenza B (ACO05957, HEK293, His)

Cat. No.: HY-P73943
Instrucciones de manejo Technical Support

Hemagglutinin (HA) is a class I viral fusion protein which is responsible for penetration of the virus into the cell cytoplasm by mediating the fusion of the membrane of the endocytosed virus particle with the endosomal membrane. HA binds to sialic acid-containing receptors on the cell surface to bring about the attachment of the virus particle to the cell. The attachment of HA induces virion internalization of about two third of the virus particles through clathrin-dependent endocytosis and about one third through a clathrin- and caveolin-independent pathway. HA plays a major role in the determination of host range restriction and virulence. Low pH in endosomes induces an irreversible conformational change in HA2, releasing the fusion hydrophobic peptide and forming fusion pore. Several HA trimers are required to form a competent fusion pore. HA/Hemagglutinin Protein, Influenza B (ACO05957, 556a.a, HEK293, His) is the recombinant Virus-derived HA/Hemagglutinin protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
