IL-13R alpha 1 Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His)

Cat. No.: HY-P77403
COA Handling Instructions

The IL-13R α 1 protein binds to IL13 with low affinity and, when combined with IL4RA, forms a functional IL13 receptor. It also functions together with IL4RA as an alternative accessory protein for IL4 signaling. IL-13R alpha 1 Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived IL-13R alpha 1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of IL-13R alpha 1 Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is 317 a.a., with molecular weight of ~37.9 KDa.

Background

The IL-13R alpha 1 protein exhibits a low-affinity binding to interleukin-13 (IL13) and, when partnered with IL4RA, forms a functional receptor for IL13. Furthermore, IL-13R alpha 1 serves as an alternate accessory protein alongside IL4RA for interleukin-4 (IL4) signaling. Although it cannot replace the function of IL2RG in enabling enhanced interleukin-2 (IL2) binding activity, IL-13R alpha 1 plays a crucial role in mediating IL4 and IL13 responses. The interleukin-13 receptor complex comprises IL4R, IL13RA1, and potentially other components, illustrating the intricacies of its molecular architecture. Additionally, IL-13R alpha 1 interacts with TRAF3IP1 and IL4, contributing to its involvement in diverse signaling pathways and underscoring its significance as a component of the interleukin-13 receptor system.

Biological Activity

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Cynomolgus IL-13R alpha 1 at 4 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind Recombinant human IL-13. The ED50 for this effect is 42.49 ng/mL.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
