OSM Protein Protein, Canine (HEK293, His)

OSM is a glycoprotein belonging to the interleukin-6 family of cytokines that can inhibit the growth of cells from melanoma and other solid tumors. OSM Protein Protein, Canine (HEK293, His) is the recombinant canine-derived Oncostatin M/OSM protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His tag^[1][2].

Oncostatin M (OSM) is a glycoprotein belonging to the interleukin-6 family of cytokines that has functions mainly in cell growth. OSM is considered as a pleiotropic cytokine that signals through cell surface receptors type I and type II both of which share the similarity of containing protein gp130 and takes part in many bio metabolism processes including liver development, hematopoiesis, inflammation, bone formation, and destruction and possibly CNS development. OSM can inhibit the growth of cells from melanoma and other solid tumors^[1][2].

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Canine OSM at 5 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Human LIFR, the ED₅₀ for this effect is 0.303 μg/mL.
